Horsley Hills is hill station that is located in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The hills are a well known and popular tourist destination for many people in the State. The hills are located close to Bangalore and many people from Karnataka also visit the place. The town is situated around 160 km from the city of Bangalore. The hills are also close to Tirupathi and Madanapalle. Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary is located around 87 km away and Horsley Hills are the entry point of the sanctuary. The Mallama Temple is one of the main attractions of the place. This temple was built for a tribal woman who disappeared and people thought that she was a goddess.
The road to the hills is very narrow and the surroundings are very beautiful. The Horsley Hills Museum is an interesting place to visit and there are many interesting things to see at the museum. Some of the other attractions in the area are Environmental Park, Galibanda, View point and the Lake Gangotri. A famous Shiva Temple is located around 15 km from the hills on the road towards the village of Manapalle. The Shiva Temple attracts many visitors and many devotees from the nearby areas visit the temple.

The hills can be reached by either road or rail. The nearest airport is located at Bangalore at a distance of around 160 km. for those who are arriving by air this is the best option as many domestic and international flights operate to and from the airport. Tirupathi Airport is another option and it is located around 165 km from the hills. There are taxis that are available both the airports and they are the best option to reach the HoRsley Hills. Taxis usually charge around Rs 1500 for the trip. However, this may vary according to type of vehicle. Hiring SUV’s is a good option as the slopes are steep and they are also comfortable.

The nearest railway station is located at Manapalle. The railway station is situated around 43 km from the town. It is advisable to arrange transport through the hotels and resorts as the local transport may not be reliable.
