The Dajipur Bison Sanctuary is situated on the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg district in Taluka Radhanagari. It is a charming tourist center with a verity of animals, birds and beauty of nature. The forest is famous for "Gava" buffalo. There are ample antelopes, deer, bears & serpents. The Jungle Resort is a scenic spot near the backwater of the Radhanagari dam. Kolhapur has a domestic Airport at Ujlaiwadi which is connected to Mumbai International airport. Airport is located at a distance of 13 km from heart of the Kolhapur city. Cab charges about Rs 300 from airport to the city. Mumbai International airport is the major airport nearby, which is at a distance of nearly 400 km.
By Train/Rail :
Kolhapur railway station known as Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus is connected to major Indian cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Solapur, Nagpur, Tirupati, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Dhanbad through express trains. There are daily passenger shuttle services between Kolhapur and Miraj.
